How to send a weekly digest of new Airtable records

"Can Airtable email me every record that was added this week?" is one of the most common automation questions. It takes two pieces: a view that contains exactly this week's records, and something that sends that view on a schedule.

Step 1: make sure you have a created date

Add a Created time field to the table if it doesn't have one. It fills in automatically for existing records too, because Airtable knows when every record was created. (A formula field with CREATED_TIME() does the same.)

Step 2: build the "this week" view

"This week" can mean three different things. Pick the one your readers expect:

Then hide the fields nobody needs, and sort the view (for example by created time, newest first). Whatever the view shows is what the digest should contain.

Step 3: send it every week

Option A: an Airtable automation (short lists)

Trigger At a scheduled time (weekly), action Find records using the view from step 2, then Send email with the found records inserted as a list or grid. This is free and built in. The limits:

Option B: a CSV attachment of the whole view

If the week can have more than 100 records, or the recipients want a spreadsheet, send the view as a CSV file instead. ViewCourier does this without code: connect a read-only token, choose the base, table and the "this week" view, set weekly, Monday 08:00 in your timezone, and add up to five recipients. Every run emails a dated CSV of every record in the view, with the view's visible fields and sort order. Quiet weeks don't have to produce an empty email: tick Don't send scheduled emails when the view has no records and nothing is sent when there's nothing new.
